ARTIST STATEMENT
My work highlights the exploration of femininity and youth culture that mesh together while capturing the essence of generational shifts through a documentary, snapshot like framework. I use photography as a medium to tell stories that reflect the zeitgeist, using narratives that explore the nuanced intersection between identity, body, and societal expectations.Through colour and use of cinematic flash, I aim to create a visual story that resonates across generations, while offering a perspective into evolving dynamics of what it means to be young and a woman. My work includes many intimate moments that define both personal and collective experiences, that challenge’s themes of the internalized male gaze while honoring agency and self-admiration.
