SANDRINE MEUNIER-GEOFFREY

BIO

Sandrine MG is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work reimagines human/nature relationality. Drawing from their own sensory experiences and curiosity, MG's work is a site of encounter and exchange. Primarily working with bark, soil, and plant matter to create simple geometric forms, MG focuses on the formal qualities of organic matter to explore how human/nature relationships can be reimagined.

Their minimal intervention with naturally occurring aesthetics invites a slower, more attentive way of seeing and relating to the natural world that challenges an extractive relationship with nature.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Inspired by moth wings, I'm curious to explore the convergence between function and beauty. To see how the patterns—born from necessity—can be translated into new visual forms. Through sculptural interpretations, I hope to make these evolutionary designs more visible, tangible, and experiential. By enlarging and abstracting them, the intricate detail and elegance that often go unnoticed when seen at scale can be highlighted.
